In the nine-day of Navratri every time one question arrives in your mind what to make so quickly and delicious for fasting or Vrat. So, the answer is Sabudana khichadi and the recipe is very easy to make and tastes awesome. You can also make it for snacks.
How to make Sabudana Khichadi
- Preparation time: 20 mins
- Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients needed for Sabudana Khichadi
- Sabudana (Sabo) – 1 ½ Cup (Overnight Soaked)
- Peanuts – ¼ Cup
- Medium Potato – 1 (thinly sliced)
- Green Chili – 3 (finely Chopped)
- Curry Leaves – 5 to 6
- Coriander Leaves – 2 tbsp (finely Chopped)
- Cumin Seeds – 1 tbsp
- Rock Salt – As per the requirements
- Ghee – 3 tbsp
Preparation Method
- Heat the pan and roast peanuts on medium high flame. Peel of the skin of peanuts and crush the roasted peanuts and keep it aside.
- Add Ghee into the hot pan
- Now add cumin seed, curry leave and green chilies.
- After the cumin seed crackle, add the thinly sliced potato.
- Cook till potato become soft
- Add Sabudana and crushed roasted peanuts and sauté them for 5 minutes
- Sprinkle rock salt and little water, Mix well.
- Sprinkle coriander leave and switch off the flame.
