Bread Potato Bonda is a perfect snack or appetizer dish. The Bondas are crunchy outside, spicy and soft inside.

Ingredients needed for Bread Potato Bonda
- Bread slices - 6
- Boiled Potato – 4
- Carrot – 1 (Grated)
- Large Onion – 1 (Finely Chopped)
- Green Chili – 2 (If you want spicier you can add more)
- Ginger garlic paste – ½ tbsp
- Red chili powder – 1 ½ tbsp
- Garam masala powder -1/4 tbsp
- Coriander powder – ½ tbsp
- Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
- Gram flour – 1 Cup
- Salt – 1 ½ tbsp (or according to your taste)
- Oil – As much required to fry Vada
Preparation Method:
- To make Bonda’s batter place the gram flour in a bowl. Add ½ tbsp red chili powder, salt, and mix. Add sufficient water and whip to a smooth and thick batter.
- Mix mashed potato, carrot, ginger garlic paste, finely chopped onion, green chili, red chili powder, Garam masala powder, Coriander powder, Coriander leaves and salt in a bowl.
- Fill a small bowl with water to wet the bread. Cut the edges of bread slices.
- Dip one side of a slice of the bread lightly in the water bowl. Place the bread slice between your palms and press, squeezing out the excess water.
- Stuff the potato mixture in the center of the bread slice and roll it and then press it tightly. Do the same for the remaining.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan on medium high heat.
- Deep the roll into gram flour batter. And Drop the rolls slowly into it, taking care not to overlap them.
- Deep fry the bread roll till golden brown and crisp in color.
- Serve them hot with tomato ketchup, Green cilantro chutney and tamarind sweet and sour chutney.
